Tyler Brent

Tyler Brent has served as a Foreign Service Officer with the Department of State since 2019. He recently completed his first overseas assignment in the Public Affairs Section at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou, China and is currently studying Arabic in preparation for his second assignment at U.S. Embassy Beirut. He also serves on the Civic Engagement Advisory Board of the Greater Philadelphia YMCA. Prior to joining the Foreign Service he worked on a USAID project in Latin America and the Caribbean with the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce; and previously worked for the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office (TECRO) in Washington, DC. Tyler graduated from The College of William and Mary in 2015 with degrees in Government and Chinese with Honors. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, and is learning Arabic.
