ANNE-MARIE GWYNN-SACKSON

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Anne-Marie is a seasoned development professional with over 17 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising.

Anne-Marie worked for the United States Institute of Peace for 14 years, during which time she played a key role in the $186 million Building for Peace capital campaign to build a permanent headquarters on the northwest corner of the National Mall. She orchestrated high-profile events featuring President Bill Clinton, former Secretary of States James A. Baker and Condoleezza Rice and National Security Advisors Stephen J. Hadley and Jake Sullivan, along with other prominent leaders. During her tenure at the Art Institute of Chicago, she served as a principal advisor to the Director of the museum in regards the museum’s Board of Directors and designed custom engagement opportunities for the museum's key stakeholders.

Anne-Marie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Michigan, where she graduated with highest honors. Born and raised in and currently based in Washington, DC, she specializes in major gift fundraising, board relations, and strategic donor stewardship.
