Scott Kim
Scott Kim is a seasoned Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst with seven years of experience specializing in ransomware activities, advanced persistent threat group tactics, and malware on the dark web. Currently a Nonresident WSD-Handa Fellow at Pacific Forum, he conducts independent research on Japan's National Security Strategy. Simultaneously, Scott serves as Associate Faculty teaching undergraduate courses in criminal justice and criminology. In his role as Vice President at the FBI Dallas Citizens Academy Alumni Association, Scott oversees operations, engages in social media, and leads community outreach. His contributions extend to enhancing the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity's understanding of security operation centers in the EU.
Scott has earned recognition in esteemed programs like the Analytic Exchange Program addressing challenges related to deepfake identities at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He is affiliated with the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy, ARIN Fellow 72 at American Registry Internet Networks, and various leadership initiatives globally.
Educationally, Scott holds an M.S. in Criminal Justice from Lamar University and a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a Pre-Law minor from the University of Texas at Arlington.
