Ryan Arazi
Ryan Arazi, a first-generation American with roots in Argentina and Mexico, was born and raised in Queens and Staten Island. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from Swarthmore College, he is currently a second-year public policy student at the Georgetown McCourt School. Ryan's global experiences include being a Fulbright Scholar in Argentina, a Teaching Assistant in China, a tutor in a medium-security Pennsylvania prison, and a student-delegate in the Israeli/Palestinian region, engaging with political and community leaders on conflict dynamics.
In Washington, D.C., Ryan completed internships with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez, exploring diverse policy areas. His deep interest in technology policy, recognizing its impact on labor markets, social dynamics, and democratic institutions, led him to join the Georgetown Responsible AI network and collaborate with Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen. Outside academia, Ryan enjoys playing drums, tennis, drinking mate, and supporting the Argentinian national team, while valuing the opportunity to gain insights into public policy and build relationships with fellow PPNV 04 cohort members.
