Rebecca Ben-Amou serves as a Country Desk Officer in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Defense Exports and Cooperation covering the bilateral U.S. Army Armaments Cooperation relationship with Australia, Israel, the UAE, and several others. Her previous assignments include other staff officer roles within the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, as well a variety of positions in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering. Ms. Ben-Amou received her M.A. in International Affairs and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of International Affairs (SAIS) in Bologna, Italy/Washington, D.C., and a B.A. Magna Cum Laude with Departmental Honors in International Studies with a regional concentration on the Middle East from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She has a basic working proficiency level in Arabic and Hebrew.
