Phillip R. Davis II is a Presidential Management Fellow currently serving as a Country Director for Korea at the Department of Defense, Office of Secretary of Defense for Policy. In this capacity, he helps to manage the U.S.-Republic of Korea (ROK) bilateral relationship. He specializes in U.S.-ROK alliance deterrence vis-à-vis the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Alliance capabilities, and security cooperation. Prior to this role, Phillip worked at the U.S. Department of State on issues pertaining to the Arabian Peninsula and security assistance. Previously, he worked for the U.S. House of Representatives, Office of Inspector General at US Postal Service, Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), and the United Kingdom Parliament. Phillip received a BA in International Relations with a minor in Diplomatic History from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his MA in International Security from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies - University of Denver. In his free time, Phillip enjoys traveling, brunching, writing, hiking, and immersing himself in music. He serves as YPFP's Deputy Director for Global Operations.
