Paula Granados is a graduate student at the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University. She is pursuing a Master's in International Affairs with a concentration in International Law and Organizations. Her area of focus is global governance and human development, emphasizing inclusive approaches to international cooperation. She wishes to research further the characterization of leaders and how they are made to fit trends to justify security policies and foreign relations.
Paula is focused on the institutional and behavioral challenges brought by our understanding and portrayal of conflicts. She graduated from James Madison University with a double major in International Affairs with a concentration in foreign affairs, global governance, and Spanish. She also has a minor in humanitarian affairs and Latin American, Latinx, and Caribbean studies.
During her undergraduate, she remained active in the Hispanic community off and on campus, serving as a mentor under the On the Road Collaborative for Skyline Middle school and the Latino Scholars Initiative. Serving as a student leader on campus provided her with leadership experience and facilitation training as co-publishing chair of the Latino Student Alliance and vice president of Grupo Candela. She remained committed to service during and after graduation, either as a volunteer with refugee resettlement programs or working in the service industry.
