Nazila Jamshidi is a Georgetown University student at the Departments of Government and Justice and Peace Studies. Nazila is a gender equality and human rights activist involved in Afghanistan's development and democracy processes during the past decade. Passionate about human rights and social justice, Nazila assisted various governmental and international organizations, like the Afghan Red Crescent Society, UN, and USAID, to integrate gender perspectives and human rights approaches in designing and implementing their policies programs. Nazila moved to the United States from Afghanistan in 2016, where, along with pursuing education, she is involved in several social justice, peacebuilding, and gender equality programs.
