Proudly born to a Puerto Rican heritage, Lindsey O'Neal is passionate about building cross-cultural understanding to serve communities and solve problems.She interned with the State Department's VSFS program, where she wrote news briefs on U.S.-Mexico policy, then later volunteered to teach ESL in Guanajuato, Mexico and finally, complete extensive research on the 2018 Mexican election. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from West Texas A&M University, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Maun, Botswana where she led staff development training on grant writing and technology. She is currently maximizing her project development and technology skills as a Program Assistant for the Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Fellowship, which seeks to promote excellence and diversity in the Foreign Service. In her free time, she satisfies her love for writing by posting on her travel blog. She currently lives in Washington, D.C.
