Liberte Manirakiza currently works as a Covid-19 case investigator for UTHealth. She graduated from Austin College, a small liberal arts college in north Texas, with a BA in Public Health. She is pursuing a master's in Public Health and Global Policy studies.

Her interests lie in the health disparities affecting marginalized communities and in children's mental health. After undergrad, she had the opportunity to serve with an educational nonprofit as a mentor for students in low-income schools. The experiences she gained in this role solidified her passion for health and education equity. In her free time, you can find her reading or binge-watching her favorite shows. She lives in San Antonio with her family.
