Joe Thomas

Joe Paruvanikal Thomas holds a BA in Political Science & History from Arizona State University and is currently pursuing an MS in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. Motivated by a deep desire to serve fellow Americans and apply historical lessons to foster a kinder, more humane world, Joe has extensive experience with the Arizona State Government.

With roles as a policy analyst at the Department of Economic Security, grants intern with the Department of Corrections, and a page in the Arizona State Senate, Joe's career choices reflect a commitment to public service. Specializing in Middle Eastern and South Asian Affairs, Joe conducted research on American diplomatic history and Foreign Service reform at the Leadership, Diplomacy, and National Security Lab at ASU. As a strategy intern with the Federal Reserve this summer, Joe aspires to contribute to the international policy arena within the Federal Government. Outside of professional pursuits, Joe is a dedicated history buff, enjoys sci-fi and fantasy literature, and engages in boxing, running, and poetry writing during free time.
