Jeanine Liu is a graduate student at the Duke Sanford School of Public Policy pursuing a Master of Public Policy. Her area of concentration is Technology Policy, and her research interests include data privacy, platform safety and accountability, and competition policy. Before Sanford, Jeanine graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a bachelor's degree in Economics. After university, Jeanine spent four years as an economic consultant at Analysis Group in Los Angeles and Menlo Park. She leveraged data analysis and academic research to support economic arguments in litigation.
At Sanford, Jeanine serves as a first-year representative for the Tech Policy Club, treasurer of the Urban Policy Club, and a committee member of the Student Council Mental Wellbeing Committee. After graduation, Jeanine hopes to work in the public sector to advance digital consumer protection policies for the safety of all individuals, regardless of age.
