Chandler C. Vidrine, MPA, is the Executive Director of the Office of Indian Affairs of the Governor of Louisiana. Vidrine is the official Governor’s Office advocate for some of the most underserved and underrepresented in the state, Louisiana Native Americans. Under his leadership, he has reengineered the Office of Indian Affairs, developing programs and initiatives that address education, workforce development, disaster response and recovery, and healthcare issues. Vidrine is also a nationally recognized student advocate with extensive higher education and government experience.
A comprehensive career in student organization leadership complemented Vidrine’s undergraduate academic experience. Prominent positions he held include 2020–2021 Southern University SGA President; Louisiana Board of Regents Student Board Member/Louisiana’s Chief Student Advocate for all 214,000+ college students; SGA Chief of Staff; and President of the Pre-Law Society. His professional career has been impactful to the citizens of Louisiana in his previous roles as Staff Assistant and Community Associate for Higher Education and Faith-Based Initiatives for the Office of the Governor. He is a proud product of Ville Platte, LA, and Louisiana’s chief advocate for Native Americans. Vidrine is working on receiving his Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Tennessee State University. He received his master’s in public administration from Louisiana State University and his bachelor’s in criminal justice from Southern University.
