Capt Joseph Bishop, United States Air Force Assistant Staff Judge Advocate (JAG)

Captain Joseph L. Bishop is the Chief of General Law at Yokota Air Base, Japan. Prior, he was the Chief of Operational and International Law at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey.  While at Incirlik, Capt Bishop advised the 39th Air Base Wing, tenant units, and five geographically separated units on rules of engagement, international agreements, and fiscal issues. 

Capt Bishop attended Clemson University and The University of North Carolina School of Law and was commissioned through the Direct Appointment Program in 2017. He graduated from Commissioned Officer Training in June 2017 and the Judge Advocate Staff Officer Course in September 2017. He is admitted to practice law in North Carolina.
