Calah McQuarters
Calah McQuarters chooses to live at the intersection of passion, purpose, and innovation, not being stifled by the limits of others or discouraged by work that has no end. She is currently pursuing a Social Impact MBA and a Master of Public Policy at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management. She graduated from Howard University in 2021 with a bachelor’s in Political Science and a bachelor’s in Afro-American Studies. Before attending Heller, Calah helped open Greenwood Rising: Black Wall Street History Center, a new museum dedicated to uncovering the history of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre. She also has experience in the consulting and non-profit space.
As an Afro-Latina, Calah is especially passionate about providing access and opportunities to underserved black and brown communities. Her concentration, on community development through place-based strategies and initiatives, informs her future ambition to be an intermediary helping all sectors of a community come together for the greater good of all. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, cooking, and watching true crime documentaries (if you have any recommendations, please send them over!).
