DIRECTOR, GLOBAL PUBLIC POLICY, ALLEN INSTITUTE FOR AI (AI2)

Nueteki Akuetteh is the Director of Global Public Policy at the Allen Institute for AI, where she designs and implements government relations and public affairs strategies focused on AI for good. Previously, Teki was the Director for Public Policy at Vulcan and the Paul G. Allen Family Foundation where she led government engagement on ocean health, climate change, and wildlife conservation. Before Vulcan, she was a senior policy advisor for the Government of the United Kingdom, where she provided counsel to Ambassadors, Ministers, and the Royal Family on a wide range of environmental and social issues addressed by the UK in the context of the G7 and G20, including women’s economic empowerment, pandemic preparedness, and nature-based solutions.

In 2021, Teki was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth for services that advanced global health and the COVID-19 response.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a master’s degree from New York University.
