Sherline Joachim is an award-winning published author and graduate student at Northcentral university pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership. She graduated from Seton Hall University, earning a Master of Science degree in International Affairs, specializing in Post-Conflict State Reconstruction and Sustainability. She hopes to use the knowledge and skills she acquired from her International Relations studies to contribute to the peaceful resolution of the socio-political conflicts in her home country, Haiti. She also looks forward to employing strategies learned to help her native country and other conflict-prone and underdeveloped countries attain stability and sustainability by developing realistic and achievable goals.
In the meantime, Sherline continues to use her life experiences and Bachelor of Science in Education degree obtained at Florida Memorial University, the only Historically Black College/University (HBCU) in South Florida, to inspire scholars in her classroom to take ownership of their education and write their narratives. After graduation from NCU, Sherline hopes to combine her education and experience in the two fields to serve as an ambassador for education locally and internationally. She hopes to analyze Haiti's lack of competent leadership, using her skills and securing resources to prepare competent leaders through education. Finally, Sherline hopes to continue to inspire scholars to achieve academic excellence on various levels nationally and internationally.
