Nelowfar Ahmadi is a graduate student at the Luskin School of Public Affairs pursuing a Master's in Public Policy. Her areas of focus are immigration and technology policy. Nelowfar graduated from the University of California, Riverside, with a degree in Public Policy. After graduating, Nelowfar worked on the 2020 presidential election as a Field Organizer for Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden. She later joined Speaker Nancy Pelosi's finance team and served as a refugee case manager following the fall of Afghanistan.

Before coming to UCLA, she worked for Congressman Pete Aguilar and helped support down-ballot races in the Inland Empire. At UCLA, Nelowfar is a Graduate Student Researcher at the Labor Center. After graduation, Nelowfar hopes to work on data protection policy and develop initiatives that expand economic opportunities for Afghan women.
