Livia Mucciolo

Livia Mucciolo is a master’s student at the University of Chicago where she is completing an interdisciplinary degree in Computational Analysis and Public Policy. Prior to starting her masters, she worked as a Research Analyst at the Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center (TPC). Her research at TPC focused on the construction of a synthetic dataset of administrative tax data to safely expand access to tax data to more researchers and public policymakers, and the assessment of federal tax policies on distributional measures.

She is passionate about the intersection of data and public policy and is eager to learn more about how machine learning, data science, and AI can be used to create social impact in a fair and equitable manner.

She graduated magna cum laude from Brown University and holds a BA in economics and public health. In her free time, she enjoys cycling and finding the best matcha latte in Chicago.
