Leticia Bustamante is a DACA recipient and second-year graduate student at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs pursuing a Master's in Public Policy. Her focus areas are immigration and data analysis, and her research interests include community economic development and workforce development. Leticia graduated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Labor Studies. After graduation, she managed the national Dream Summer Fellowship for immigrant youth at the UCLA Labor Center. She also served as an advisor on the immigration policy team. As a graduate student, she has worked as a research assistant for the UCLA Labor Center's Workforce Development team, where she helped to conduct industry analyses for the California Workforce Development Board.

She is currently working with the Sustainable LA Grand Challenge team at UCLA, in partnership with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, where she conducts community outreach at disadvantaged communities in Wilmington, CA. She also researches workforce development strategies for green jobs. After graduate school, Leticia hopes to serve as a liaison between marginalized communities and research institutions to ensure research justice.
