Keanu Valibia is a dual master’s student studying Public Policy and Environmental Management at Duke University. He focuses on energy access, climate finance, and impact investments for renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure. Keanu graduated from the University of California – Riverside, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Information Systems. After completing his undergraduate studies, he joined Deloitte’s technology consulting practice, working on enterprise resource planning migrations for Fortune 500 clients. He later left Deloitte to pursue interests across various sectors, including advertising, nonprofit management, and disaster relief. His experience working on disaster relief for the Filipino diaspora inspired his decision to pursue his graduate studies in policy and environment at Duke University.

After completing his graduate studies, Keanu intends to pursue a career in sustainability finance, focusing on impact investments and climate financing. He hopes to combine his private sector experience with his public sector education to forge critical private-public partnerships for climate mitigation and adaptation projects. Over the long term, he is also potentially interested in pursuing sustainable finance regulation and compliance.
