Dinan Guan (she/her) is a Master of Public Policy student at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. As someone who has attended public schools all her life, she is passionate about promoting data-driven policies to ensure all communities, especially communities of color, have access to high-quality and equitable education. Dinan is a proud double Bruin, having received a degree in Political Science with minors in Civic Engagement and Public Affairs from UCLA. Prior to pursuing a Master's, she served as a member of the Research & Evaluation team at UNITE-LA, a nonprofit focused on the continuous improvement of education and workforce development systems in Los Angeles. Currently, Dinan is a Graduate Student Researcher at the Luskin Center for Innovation and is in the midst of establishing the Education Policy Collaborative, a professional development organization for students interested in education policy. After graduation, Dinan hopes to become a policy analyst at an organization that equips local and state- level policymakers and stakeholders with the evidence, principles, and actions needed to equitably strengthen the education system from cradle to career.
