Michael Jacobson is counsel at the law firm Hogan Lovells US LLP in Washington, DC where he helps clients solve complex cross-border problems. His practice focuses on assisting clients across diverse industry sectors with treaty-based claims, trade disputes under U.S. law, and trade and investment policy solutions. Mike’s expertise includes U.S. agency practice, appearing before U.S. courts, and the rules under free trade agreements (FTAs), investment treaties (BITs), and the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Mike is also an adjunct faculty member at the American University Washington College of Law, where he teaches a course on current issues in international trade and investment law and policy.

Mike received his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in Economics and Government from Georgetown University and his juris doctor from Harvard Law School.
