Bobby Kava, Psychological Operations Officer, U.S. Army

Bobby Kava is an active-duty Army Psychological Operations Officer currently attending University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management. He served as a Detachment Commander for three years, assigned to the 1st Psychological Operations Battalion stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. While the Battalion is regionally aligned to the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Area of Operations, Bobby deployed to the Middle East in support of Special Operations Joint Task Force-OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE (SOJTF-OIR) fight against the Islamic State. Most recently, he was involved in a task force developing psychological messaging courses of action to assist USSOUTHCOM's fight against Illegal, Unregulated, Unreported Fishing (IUUF) in Ecuador, Colombia, Guyana, and Panama. Robert graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2012 with a B.S. in American Legal Studies. As a Black Knight, Robert played Army Football all four years, studying Portuguese, and participating in Cadet Summer Training opportunities. Upon graduating from Carlson School of Management, Robert will return to the Army for follow-on missions.
